Hi, I’m Sarah, the founder of ClearMind Learning.
After many years working in primary education, I created ClearMind because I wanted to provide children with the kind of individualised support that can be difficult to achieve in a busy classroom. I have always been particularly drawn to supporting children who find literacy difficult and helping them rebuild confidence in themselves as learners.
The connection is personal too. I was first recognised as being dyslexic at the age of 15, although I did not receive a formal diagnosis until I was 18. I understand how it can feel to work hard at school while wondering why some things seem so much harder than they do for everyone else.
That experience, alongside my work with children and families, led me to specialise further in dyslexia, literacy and the wider factors that can affect how children communicate and learn. I now hold Accredited Teacher Status with the British Dyslexia Association and am completing a Master’s degree in Education, specialising in dyslexia and assessment as I work towards becoming a specialist dyslexia assessor.
ClearMind has grown from tuition into a specialist dyslexia and literacy service built around one simple belief: children make the best progress when they feel understood, supported and confident enough to learn.
My approach is calm, practical and evidence-informed. I work with children and their families to understand what is getting in the way, identify strengths, and provide clear, targeted support that helps learning begin to make sense.
